Mrs. Abby Smith's Class                                  

This year in our class we will be exploring many different subject areas.  It is my goal as a teacher to focus on each individual student and meet their personal needs.  Guided reading is an important tool that I will use to further each student’s reading, writing, and language abilities.  In math I love to use hands on manipulatives to allow the students to make meaningful connections between the material and personal experiences.  I love to incorporate games into the curriculum to make learning fun and school a place student’s enjoy. I believe it is important for a child to feel comfortable with their learning environment and will work hard to accomplish this in our classroom.
